Home Buyer Strategy Session

Buying a home is a huge decision.  It is one of the biggest financial decisions most people make in their lives.  Most home buyers don't understand the home buying process until they're already in the process.

This is the reason why we make sure to do what we call a 'Strategy Session' up front with our clients. We go through several things.

Here are the main points...
  • How our clients are taking advantage of the market
  • How we protect our clients from beginning to end
  • How to get the best deal in any situation

Whether this is your first time buying or a home or it's been a while, we promise that this will be a good use of your time.

Taking Advantage of the Market

The market changes week by week. It is important to be working with a Team that knows exactly what is going on in the local market.

A major benefit of working with our team is that we have negotiated over 350 contracts through the last 3 years. We have a game plan for any situation that can arise.

Also, with doing so many deals in such a short time, we have built incredible relationships with agents in the market. Our reputation is that we are easy to work with and we get deals done. This is another point that helps our clients get their offers accepted.

What it takes to get a deal done is something we will tell you almost every time. Our goal is not to tell our clients what they should do. It is to give them all the information possible, give advice, and let them choose what's best for them.

Protection from Beginning to End

Buying a home can be a very intimidating process. Good news, when you're buying a home in California, you're very well protected. Bad news, most home buyers have no idea what that means and trust through the process.

We don't believe in doing business that way. After a Strategy Session, our clients know exactly what to expect at every turn in a transaction. From writing the offer to getting the keys, there should be no surprises.

As a home buyer, you have contingencies that protect you when purchasing a home. Yet, how you use and remove those contingencies can save or cost you thousands of dollars.

Get the Best Deal in any Situation

Everyone wants to get a deal, so do we. The idea of a deal means different things to different people. In our experience, getting the best deal comes from understanding what the seller wants.

Understanding what they're trying to do, gives us leverage. If we write our offer to give them what they want, while also getting what we want, we're creating a win-win situation.

Our goal is to make our offer look as good as possible so that we don't have to pay the most for the property.

So many home buyers think that price is the only factor in a deal, and they couldn't be more wrong.

When is the Time for a Strategy Session?

If you're at the point where you're thinking that you'd consider buying a home if you found the right one... that is when you do the strategy session. If you're in no rush, that's even better. Worst case, we do one now, you learn a lot and feel more comfortable and then we do a refresher when the time comes to buy.

I jokingly say to my clients, if you "kinda, sorta, maybe would consider buying a home... we should do it"

How it Works

Simple. Depending on how many questions you ask, it can take between 20 minutes and 2 hours. We take as much time as you need to feel comfortable with the process.

Most people ask a lot of questions and take notes, so I would plan on 45 minutes.

There is no cost or obligation to doing a strategy session, so what do you have to lose?
